Joanne Funch, grief counselor

My guest is JoAnne Funch.  JoAnne and I met one another earlier this year and I wanted to share her story and her passion for helping others with you today.

In 2005, JoAnne lost the two people closest to her—her mother, and a month later, her husband.  Two years after suffering those losses she moved from Southern California where she spent 22 years back to her home town of Minneapolis, Minnesota to be near her family and to discover what might be next in her life.

JoAnne soon discovered that people were interested in her story of loss and how she found the courage and strength to start her life again at the age of 50.  It wasn’t long before JoAnne founded Heartache To Healing, an on-line grief support site dedicated to providing heartfelt knowledge, support, and inspiration to those who are suffering through life transitions.  She shares her personal story of surviving loss, and learning to have a life of purpose and meaning, and she wants to share this message of hope with others.
